Action Month is back this June, and it’s time to get out and about for Sfida’s Summer Photography competition.

Get creative with your unit and win special badges in our county photography competition. 4 categories over 4 weeks. Take a photo for each and enter to win!

You can take your photos at any time but one theme will be posted on social media each week in June.

Go out and about, with your unit, in uniform, and spread some much needed guiding cheer!

Week 1: Celebrations

The Coronation, a unit birthday, local event or other cause for a celebration.

Week 2: Local Landmarks

Places of interest and local landmarks. Can we guess where they are?

Week 3: Adventure

Activities, exploring and adventures big and small.

Week 4: Community

Out in your community, including litter picking, helping, or exploring.

Wear Uniform and Create Masks

Be seen and be noticed! Action Month is about showing the world that we exist!

For extra fun, why not create masks to wear in the photographs. These could be Sfida sloth masks, emojis or anything else!

There is a badge up for grabs for the winners of each category. There will be some bonus badges for the most creative mask designs!

Photography Consent

Photographs will be shared on our social media platforms and website.

If you have girls in your unit who you do not have photography permissions for, how about making creative face masks for your unit to wear? This allows everyone to take part. There’s extra prizes for the most creative mask designs!

How To Submit Your Photographs

By submitting a photograph you are confirming that: a) Consent has been sort and granted for photography showing the participants to be shared on Girlguiding social media channels and websites. b) It is okay for this photograph to be shared publicly on social media, websites, communications and publications. Individuals that cannot be identified from the photography, because they are obscured (such as by a mask fully covering their face) or facing away from the camera, can be included without consent being sort.

Send your photographs to including a description of what you are doing, the category, where you are, and your unit name.

Entries must be received by Sunday 2 July 2023.

Open to members of units that are part of Girlguiding Kent East county.

You can enter a photograph for any of the categories at anytime during the 4 weeks from 5 June – 2 July.

Good Luck!

We can’t wait to see you all out and about!
